INTERCLUB TREAT

THANK YOU to all that came along to support our 2nd Winter Poomsae Championships at Mossfiel Primary School in Hoppers Crossing on Sunday 11 July 2010. AND what a fun and exciting day it was, with members from Koryo TKD, Melbourne Taekwondo Centre (Glen Waverley & Rowville), Gisborne TKD and City West TKD all actively participating in support.
Notably, with state and national selections just around the corner, our friendly interclub competition enabled technically-minded students the perfect opportunity to perform in competition mode without the hype and stress associated with a titled event...plus of course, the social aspect of club get-togethers simply can't be beaten!
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all the competitors and coaches on an outstanding display of technical know-how at its very best!...and how's Master Russell Wood and his technical crew of 'Koryo' Champions, just returning from international competition at the Korean Cultural Festival on Saturday...only to 'kick ass' again at our competition on Sunday. Ohhhh...and for that matter, that includes our own Poomsae Champ, Black Belt 1st Dan - Troy Johnson who proudly won his first international Silver medal in Korea last week. Not a bad effort by our 'A' Grade fighter...well done mate!
...on a more serious note though, success of the competition lay not only with the high standard of poomsae showcased by competitors, but also, as a result of our management team led by Jerry - King of Logistics and Sonia - Queen of Management, who did a brilliant job ensuring the day ran smoothly. SPECIAL THANKS and praise also to the many CWT volunteers who generously helped out throughout the day; Borg's Cakes for dishing out the yummy tucker; plus official event photographers, "ULTRA IMAGE PHOTOGRAPHY", who did an outstanding job yet again, capturing poomsae event highlights.
